In 2017, renowned Mizo writer Laltluangliana Khiangte set a state record by conducting the longest individual script writing session during the Aizawl Literary Festival, writing continuously for 10 hours. During the marathon session, he produced a series of short stories and essays aimed at promoting Mizo literature among youth, blending traditional themes with contemporary social issues. The event was attended by over 500 spectators, including students, writers, and literary enthusiasts, who witnessed the creative process in real time. This session highlighted both the endurance of the writer and his commitment to nurturing literary culture in Mizoram, setting a benchmark for individual scriptwriting achievements in the state.
