Zamrooda Ali is a prominent artisan and entrepreneur from Badamwari, Hawal, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, known for her dedication to reviving and promoting traditional Kashmiri crafts, especially crewel embroidery. She runs a training center from her home, teaching women the intricate art of crewel work and creating unique, customizable designs that are appreciated worldwide. Her efforts in preserving Kashmiri handicrafts and empowering women have been recognized by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, and her work has also been showcased in cultural initiatives like the Srinagar Craft Safari, making her an influential figure in the region’s craft and artisan community.
